Artificial Intelligence: a quick guide for any businessman

There is a lot of talk about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and, unfortunately, it is still discussed very poorly. On the one hand, AI as the "Terminator", which will destroy all humanity and, on the other, AI as the solution to all of humanity's problems, from global warming to diseases of all kinds. In the meantime, the enormous potential mixes with uncertainty in the legal field, with governments and institutions scrambling to put limitations on the unbridled development of AI tools, especially since ChatGPT's generative AI and Bard broke into the market. Tools about which, to be honest, little is known, too little. And so, the business world is called upon to face a significant challenge. To shed light on these aspects, raised in the preface by Ivana Bartoletti, Global Chief Privacy Officer Wipro, author and university professor, Il Sole 24 Ore just released this volume on Artificial Intelligence, Art and Science in Business, by Marco Di Dio Roccazzella and Frank Pagano.

The book is dedicated to those who have worked for years in companies and for companies and focuses on concrete cases of artificial intelligence applied to business and on the need to refine the data strategy and adopt the technological tools with which to execute it. The imperative for any business remains that of a human and technological strategy. Technological progress redefines who we are and what we do, as humanity and as businesses. This is the challenge that Artificial Intelligence confronts us with, according to the authors.

We hope that this book will be read not only by people interested in technology and innovation, but also by CEOs, C-Level and management of all private companies, public administration executives, entrepreneurs, educators, and students. Through in-depth and stimulating analysis, we are invited to reflect on the ethical, moral, and philosophical questions that arise from our relationship with Artificial Intelligence," say the authors.

It's all about understanding its scope, bringing it back to the core of what AI is: a tool at the service of humanity, a means to help solve problems, make life easier and not dominate us.
